Trevor Davis is the guy you want spearheading your project. With over 25 years of experience in the offshore arena, he has the discipline, drive and adaptability to ensure your project is successful.
After his first taste of the ocean at age 13, scuba diving Narragansett Bay in Rhode Island, Trevor enlisted in the U.S. Navy once 18. Aboard the USS George Washington, Trevor first served as an Aviation Ordinanceman (AO) assigned to the Flight Deck Ordnance Crew for Fighter Squadron VFA – 131 Wildcats and later served on the Integrated Weapons Team for a Squadron of 11 – F/A 18 Hornets assigned to Battle Group 6 and Carrier Air Group 7. During his tenure in the Navy, Trevor was deployed to the Mediterranean Sea, Adriatic Sea and the Arabian Gulf in support of Operation Southern Watch (Iraq) and Operation Joint Endeavor (Bosnia & Herzegovina).
After the military, Trevor worked in the Merchant Marine Industry in New York City. As a member of the Local 333 Maritime Union, he delivered aggregates via tug boats in the tri-state area. At the age of 27, Trevor left the Maritime Union and relocated to Houston, Texas, perusing a career in commercial diving. After attending the Ocean Corp for six months and earning a Commercial Divers Certification, he began a career in the oil and gas industry.
About three years after moving to Houston, Trevor’s entrepreneurial spirit lead him to earn a Bachelor of Business degree from the University of Houston and an MBA from the Bauer School of Business at the University of Houston. He completed an international residency in Beijing and Xi’an and experienced a vast amount of international work in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, South America, Europe and Scandinavia.
During his tenure in the industry, Trevor has served as Estimating Manager for Global Industries, Technical Sales at Kongsberg, Vice President of Seamar Divers International and General Manager at LL&G Construction. Over the past five years, Trevor and his wife Collette have built Hydra to be a leading provider of offshore and subsea construction—in fact, the Bauer School of Business has continually ranked Hydra in the top 20 of the 650 Cougar-owned businesses that applied to be part of the Houston Business Journals’ Cougar 100. The independently owned and operated company continues to grow and evolve its offerings to serve the offshore and subsea industries. Having worked on over 150 platform removal projects, he also has vast experience with everything that goes into decommissioning projects.
When Trevor isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 7-year-old son. He also is an avid long-distance runner and maintains his shooting skills on the range.

Dennis Niblett has over 20 years of experience in business development and was the previous owner and operator for over 10 years of a golf shop in Kingwood, Texas.
As Dennis started to feel burnt out being a small business owner, he was able to network with several regular customers who were already involved in the oil and gas industry. Soon, these small exchanges cultivated into real discussions about Dennis selling his shop and making a career change. Dennis got to work putting together a resume and landed an impromptu interview with a crucial decision-maker for Global Industries. While unusual, Dennis aced his interview on a ride to the airport and got the job by the end of the trip. He started two weeks later in his new role following the successful sale of his golf shop.
Dennis has had several accomplishments including heavy involvement in his first full field development in the Gulf of Mexico as part of Global Industries, which had a budget of $40 million. He also established fundamental connections that led to ongoing projects for M&H Energy.
On top of Dennis’ professional achievements, he is a key founder of the Bright Light Foundation, which raises money to help support those who have been injured on the job within the oil and gas industry in the Gulf Coast region. To date, the Bright Light Foundation has raised over $4 million and has assisted over 200 people in need through golf tournaments and auctions.
Today, Dennis serves Hydra by combining his skills and knowledge of vessel usage to his refined set of sales tactics, bringing in new and valuable business.
